Hi, I’m Sharon

Sharon Denham is an Accredited Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and the founder of MNC Therapy & Supports, based on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales. She has many years of experience working with children, adolescents and families, providing client-centred counselling and therapeutic support, alongside specialised services for individuals where Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) is suspected or diagnosed.

Sharon’s interest in FASD developed through her work supporting children in out-of-home care, where she observed the significant barriers families often face in accessing timely assessment, diagnosis and meaningful support. This led her to specialise in FASD-informed practice, supporting families to navigate assessment pathways, understand reports and recommendations, and implement practical strategies that improve everyday functioning.

Sharon takes a holistic and compassionate approach to her work, integrating evidence-informed therapeutic interventions with a strong focus on supporting carers and families. Her professional journey and commitment to improving outcomes for children and families is featured in the Australian Association of Social Workers’ Social Worker Spotlight series.

Sharon maintains her AASW accreditation and engages in ongoing professional development to ensure her practice aligns with current research, ethical standards and best-practice frameworks.
